Pinterest helps businesses promote themselves and generate sales leads using images. Branding is a way of representing yourself and your promise to your customers.
Branding on Pinterest promotes recognition among your followers and this makes them more at ease purchasing your products or services.

Below are 13 ways to help Brand Yourself on Pinterest.
1. Use Your Awesome Profile Image.
A good profile image along with your business name will make it easy for your users to identify your page. If it is a personal page, it is preferable to upload a clear headshot of yourself. For a company page, upload something that your followers can easily recognize such as the company logo, a tagline or the company name.
2. Add Your URL and Verify your Website.
Adding your URL and Verifying your Website with Pinterest makes the full URL appear on your profile along with a check mark that is placed right beside it. The Benefit of a Verified Website makes your website more outstanding and encourages more clicks and as it also great for SEO strategies, as there is a live link on your profile.
Verifying your website for Pinterest gives you the ability to use the free analytics tool which is essential in your marketing campaign. This tool enables you to measure your results and analyze what is working or not working out for you.
3. Complete Your Bio.
Completing BIO can be very useful in helping you promote your brand, build trust and increase followers on Pinterest. A good BIO should have a good business name and user name, a brief description about your business and your location. A good business name and user name is the first thing that people notice when they visit your brand page.
Use large, bold letters when it comes to these names, as they are easy to index, which makes them good for SEO. Make sure that the user name is similar to the business name as it will appear in your brand’s URL and will make it easy for your followers to locate your profile.

4. Create Boards that can speak about your passions.
Boards make it easy for you to share pins on different topics and attract followers. Use these boards to help you speak about your passions and promote your brand. Choose unique and creative names for your boards that will make them stand out. Use 2-4 short words for your names as long words will make followers go to an extra length of clicking on the board to see the names and this can deter them. When they are short, followers will instantly see them and follow them if they are interesting enough for them. Use the board to speak about your passions and remember to keep it interesting enough for your followers and make sure it captures instantly the attention of your followers.
5. Create Custom Board Covers.
Customizing your board covers help your boards stand out. Board covers make your profile look unique and choosing one that resonates with other boards will make it even look better. Usually, your board cover is the first pin you add but you can make your board look better by choosing your favorite pin from the entire board and dragging it around until your profile fits your liking.
Customize your boards also by dragging and rearranging and placing most important boards at the top. Place the 5 most important boards at the top where followers can easily see when they visit your brand page. Make this top 5 boards stand out even further by properly naming them and adding eye-catching board covers. This will go a long way in generating high traffic to your brand page and get you more followers.

6. Link up your FB, Twitter and Google+ with your profile.
Linking up your social accounts such as Twitter, Facebook and Google will make it easy for you to promote your pins on these platforms and enable you to attract new followers. Your location will help your followers especially those within your locality to connect with you.
7. Build Relationships with Engaging Users.
Social media is essentially about building relationships and using them to generate leads in sales. You can build relationships with engaging users by mentioning them, giving away compliments, asking them questions and asking them to contribute to your boards. Mentioning your followers and giving away compliments is a sure way of getting their attention.
You can do this by mentioning them using @ sign and adding a helpful comment and before or after your comment or description. Asking them questions is indicative to your followers that you care about their opinions and asking them to contribute to your boards is indicative to your followers that you want them to be a part of your company.
8. Choose your audience whom you’ll be speaking to (your niche).
A great way to get started at this is by engaging those who are following your boards. You can also connect with those who follow you back after you follow them, as their action of following you back is also indicative that they are interested in your pins.
Very important for you to figure out Who are the audience you’ll be speaking to with your original content.
Secondary, figure out what product or service you can offer to your audience (Niche)
9. Pin with a purpose.
Do not just pin for the sake of it. Following others is a simple way of helping you get more followers. When you follow others, you can be guaranteed of a small percentage of them following you back.
11. Model Successful Pinners.
Or simply SPY on your competition. Learning ways on how they set up their profiles & boards. Observing and seeing at how they are pinning, how they are customizing their boards and how they are relating with their followers.
This can help you have a rough idea on how to manage your followers and keep them interested in what you have to say.
12. Stick to Pinning what is relevant to your Brand.
Pin Daily and stick to pinning what is relevant to your brand if you are in business. If you run a watch company, stick to pinning about watches and other relevant topics in the watches field. Ensure that these topics relevant to your Brand, which will capture the attention of your audience and they will enjoy reading them in order to keep them following you.
13. Pin Daily to Grow Your Brand.
Pinning daily will enable you to promote yourself on Pinterest. This means that you have to spend time looking for great images to add to your boards. You can also repin images from the ones you follow or by scrolling through the newsfeed.
Make sure that whatever you Pin, it will be relevant to your audience and will not be monotonous.
